BRITISH POWERHOUSES BEING OFFERED AT CCA MAY SALE

Classic Car Auctions sale on the 25th May at the Warwickshire Event Centre will see a number of British powerhouses going under the hammer from Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar and MG.

A combined 20.1 litres of British muscle from a Continental Mulliner GT, DB7 V12 Vantage Coupe, an XJR and an MG RV8 will get you all revved up and raring to go as these impressive cars vie for new homes.

Bentleys give you wings and this 6.0 litre W12 twin-turbo Bentley Continental GT Mulliner will certainly do that! Presented in Diamond Black with a Porpoise Grey and diamond-quilted St.James Red leather interior styled by Mulliner, this 33,553-mile luxury motor will waft you around in style and elegance. Estimated at £20,000 to £25,000 this stunning car comes with an extensive history file and a fresh service prior to the sale.

The Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage Coupe is an elegant luxury GT and this 2001 model is presented in Tour de France Blue with a Pacific Grey leather interior. It was supplied new by Aston Martin Stratstone and has had four owners who have covered 76,200 miles. It comes with a partial history and the first 10 years of stamps from the supplying dealer. Estimated at £24,000 to £28,000.

Our next powerhouse comes in the form of a 2005 Jaguar XJR with a 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine. Extremely well maintained and finished in Radiance Red with a Black Nappa leather interior, the paintwork has been fully protected and the alloys refurbished. This Jaguar has formed part of a private collection where it has been kept in regulated storage. It has been recently serviced and estimated at £7,000 to £9,000.

A large proportion of MG RV8s went to Japan, though quite a few were re-imported back to the UK. This 1994 car is one of those sold new to Japan and returned to the UK in 2006, it comes with an extensive history file in Japanese! Displaying approximately 53,000 miles on the clock and with the current owner for the last three years, this car is presented well in Woodcote Green. Freshly serviced in April, it is now offered with an estimate of £15,000 to £18,000.

Classic Car Auctions’ next sale at the Warwickshire Event Centre on the 25th May, will be offering some wonderful British classics owned or known of by the same family for many years.

Riley, Triumph and MG, some of the greatest names of their time, will be represented with a 1933 Riley Nine, a 1967 Triumph TR4A and a 1955 MG Magnette ZA all with long term connections, as well as a 1972 Triumph TR6.

Offered for sale is a 1933 Riley Nine Special Four Seat Tourer. The current owner hand crafted a bespoke 4 seat Tourer bodywork with a folding roof to the chassis of what was once the most successful light sporting car of its time, the Riley Nine. Extensively used for touring and trips to the Continent, the car has been in the same ownership for 19 years. The 1087cc Twin Cam engine was subjected to a recent rebuild and comes with a partial history. Estimated at £12,000 to £15,000 a great little car for the summer.

A stunning 1967 Triumph TR4A presented in Wedgewood Blue and 10 years in the current ownership is being offered for sale. In 2014 the car underwent a body off restoration and repaint which has been comprehensively documented and included in its extensive history file. With a new interior, wheels, tyres, engine, gearbox, overdrive, brakes, and suspension reconditioned, this is as good a car as you could hope for. Estimated at £25,000 to £30,000 it also comes with the desirable Surrey Top.

The first monocoque car to bear the MG badge was the Magnette ZA which was also the fastest saloon in period. This 1955 MG Magnette ZA has been known by the same family for the past 25 years, it was once owned by a family friend and has had a total of five former keepers. Finished in Maroon with Tan vinyl and a service history from 1955 to 1961 and then from 1983 to date, the car will also come with its original seats. This is a lovely car estimated at £8,000 to £10,000.

Rebuilt in 2012, this 1972 Triumph TR6 CP benefits from matching numbers and supported by a Heritage Certificate and original line build specification sheet. When rebuilt it was subject to the usual upgrades and fitted with fuel injection rated at 150bhp, the car also has overdrive on third and fourth gears. A lovely example faithfully restored and estimated at £16,000 to £18,000.
