ROAD GOING EDITIONS OF CLASSIC COMPETITION WINNERS TO KICK START THE CCA OCTOBER AUCTION

ROAD GOING EDITIONS OF CLASSIC COMPETITION WINNERS TO KICK START THE CCA OCTOBER AUCTION
 1974 Ford Capri Mk1 RS3100

After the success of last months auction CCA are now gearing up for their next sale at the Warwickshire Event Centre on the 3rd October.
Early entries include a very rare 1970 Ford Capri Mk1 and a 1990 Lancia Delta Integrale and a 1988 Audi UR Quattro. But what do all these cars have in common? They all had successful competition siblings.
The Ford Capri is thought to be very special with possibly only 50 of these RS3100 left and originally built for homologation into European Touring Car Racing. This 1974 example is in what could be classified as show quality condition and suitable for any Concours where it has the potential to win. In the 1990s it underwent restoration with photographic evidence to show this and is finished in Modena Green with gold detailing around the power bulge and rear panel. With 48,000 warranted miles, loads of history including magazine articles and an estimate at £50,000 to £60,000 this is one good looking classic.
Our next lot is a Lancia Delta Integrale. Famous for its success in international rallying, Lancia won six constructor titles from 1987 to 1992 with the Delta. This original 1990 UK supplied example of the HF Integrale 8 valve, underwent a factory-approved conversion to right-hand drive, as there were only 50 right-hand drive factory cars built and none were imported to the UK. Presented in the classic Monza Red and with 56,000 miles, this Lancia had a full body-off restoration in 2008. It also comes with lots of documentation and history with marques specialists. At £10,000 to £12,000 it would be a very welcome addition to your garage.

Audi is famed for its Quattro, four-wheel-drive systems and achieved huge success with their cars in international rallying with some of the most famous drivers. The desire for the road-going versions has always been strong and CCA have a very fine 1988 UR Quattro 10 valve. This original UK specification car has clearly well cared for its five former owners who have covered 97,000 miles. Finished in Tornado Red and with the digital dashboard, this Audi has had £4,000 spent on it including the refurbishing of the original Ronal wheels. A fabulous looking car, estimated at £20,000 to £25,000, will certainly get enthusiasts fired up.

Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions auction manager commented: “These are three superb cars to get our October auction underway. All of them are very well represented and of high quality.”
“We will be building on the success of last month’s auction which had some fantastic interaction between the buyers and auction team to achieve great results.”
“We are looking forward to working with the vendors, so, if you are looking to sell your car, do get in touch with our friendly team who will help guide and advise you through the process.”
Classic Car Auctions are still accepting cars for the auction and can be contacted on 01926 640888 or email enquiries@classiccarauctions.co.uk and would be happy to talk with you and help you through the process of consigning your car, alternatively, you can also use their online Value My Classic service.

1987 BMW 325i E30 Sport M-Tech 1

Classic Car Auctions kick off the opening of their August sale catalogue with three of Bavaria’s finest and rarest cars confirmed to go under the hammer on the 3rd August.
The Warwickshire Event Centre will again be hosting the sale with 30 to 40 cars already consigned for their Everyman Classic sale, with further cars invited towards the expected 150 lot sale.
A rare 1995 BMW M3 GT Individual, number 40 of 50 made, is coming to auction estimated at £20,000 to £25,000. This limited edition E36 M3 based homologation special comes with an extensive history file and the original build sheet. Presented in British Racing Green with a number of very special mechanical features, this is an original car, with three former keepers and 104,600 miles on the clock. Included in the sale is the registration number M3 XYX.
The second of our trio of BMWs is the pocket rocket 2001 Z3 M Coupe. One of only 165 right-hand drive cars with the S54 engine and manual gearbox, has been in the possession of the current owner for the last nine years. This stunning Sapphire Black Metallic car has just 62,900 miles on the clock, a high factory specification and comes with the factory build sheet and an MOT until May 2020. Estimated at £35,000 to £40,000.
The third car is a wonderful 1987 BMW 352i Sport E30 M-Tech presented in Lachs Silver and just 47,000 miles on the clock. Having been with the current owner for the last three years, it is in beautiful condition and comes with a comprehensive history file and the BMW book pack. Estimated at £22,000 to £26,000.

Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions auction manager commented: “These are three fantastic cars to kick start our August sale catalogue. We recently sold a similar 325i Sport earlier this year for an excellent price and these cars make a great purchase as the M3s become rarer.”
“Our August sale of Everyman Classics is always a great sale and we are welcoming further consignments over the coming weeks. If you have a car you would like to sell, please do get in touch with me, or one of the team and we can help you to consign your car.”
“Having had two very good sales this year achieving a high percentage rate and with the current consignments and further cars to follow, we will again have a superb catalogue.”
