Thousands of car enthusiasts attended Auctions America’s Auburn Fall sale at the Auburn Auction Park for another outstanding Labor Day weekend. A staple in the collector car world, the Auburn Fall auction hosted more than 700 collector cars, 250 automobilia lots, acres of swap meet and car corral vendors, numerous celebrity appearances, and thrill-seeking activities for the whole family!
A tradition for over four decades, the flagship sale this year welcomed thousands of bidders from all over the world and generated 19.1 million in sales with a 78% sell-through rate. The most notable highlight of the weekend is also the most expensive automobile sold by Auctions America to date: the beautiful 1933 Duesenberg Model SJ 'Sweep Panel' Phaeton by LaGrande. While it did not meet its reserve on the auction block, it later sold for an impressive $2.3 million, showcasing the experience and determination of Auctions America’s Still For Sale department.
Other significant sales include a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1937 Packard Twelve Coupe Roadster, a 1958 Buick Limited Convertible, and a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe by Fleetwood. Please scroll down for more auction highlights and results.
