Saratoga Auto Auction - 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray!!! CONSIGNMENT OF THE WEEK

Consignment of the Week

1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray

The immortal Corvette Stingray marked the second generation of the Corvette and helped confirm the Corvette line as the first, true American sports car. This 1966 Stingray reflects the development work carried out since the model's introduction in 1963 so that Corvettes could perform and handle with the best of the European sports cars.

This 1966 Stingray convertible is an older professionally done restoration, receiving National Corvette Restorers Society Top Flight Awards in 1998 and again in 2007 with a 98.4% Top Flight score. With matching numbers and correct serial code numbers throughout, this car has its rare factory correct Laguna Blue lacquer paint.

Powered by the 327 cubic inch 300 hp small block V-8 engine, this engine delivers plenty of torque and high-end grunt. The carburetor is a Holley four barrel. The transmission is the much-preferred Muncie wide ratio 4-speed gearbox that was a factory option.

The rear suspension is independent with a GM Positraction limited slip differential. Disc brakes are featured on all four corners.

Original interior is dark blue vinyl, has dark blue carpeting and has the eye appealing double cowl dashboard. The new convertible top is white vinyl. Importantly this car comes with the original Laguna Blue removable hardtop. The AM/FM radio and electric antenna work.

With just over 79,000 miles, this car has been driven, loved and well cared for. This award winning 1966 Corvette Stingray is an opportunity to purchase a highly collectible and desirable vehicle.
