BONHAMS OFFERS THE BEST OF BRITISH WITH THE
GORDON WILLEY MOTOR CAR COLLECTION

Bonhams is pleased to announce the sale of the Lancashire-based Gordon Willey collection of 12 rare and valuable collectors’ motor cars.
 
Of the collection, five will be sold at Bonhams annual Bond Street Sale, taking place at Bonhams global headquarters at 101 New Bond Street on 6 December. The remaining seven motor cars will be offered at Bonhams’ December Sale, taking place at the Hendon RAF Museum on 10 December.  
 
The multi-million-pound collection includes an astonishing seven Bentleys, plus several rare, pre-war motor cars, such as the ex-Billy Cotton 1938 Frazer-Nash BMW 328 Roadster, estimated at £550,000-650,000, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon, estimate £400,000-500,000, and delivered new to the Nizam of Nabunda, the ex-Nigel Dawes 1934 Invicta 4½-Litre 'S' Type Low Chassis Tourer, featuring coachwork by Carbodies, at an estimate of £500,000-600,000.
 
Malcolm Barber, Bonhams Co-Chairman, said: “This incredible collection is offered by retired businessman, Mr. Gordon Willey. An avid enthusiast with a penchant for pre-war classics, the collection features a variety of motor cars from great British marques, Bentley, Aston Martin, Frazer Nash and Invicta.”

  • The ex-Billy Cotton 1938 Frazer Nash-BMW 328 Roadster – estimate £550,000-650,000
  • The ex-Nigel Dawes 1934 Invicta 4½-Litre 'S' Type Low Chassis Tourer, coachwork by Carbodies – estimate £500,000-600,000
  • Formerly part of the Schlumpf Museum Collection 1929 Bentley 4½-Litre Tourer, Coachwork by Vanden Plas – estimate £400,000-500,000
  • 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon – estimate £400,000-500,000
  • The ex-Nigel Dawes 1955 Frazer Nash Le Mans Coupé – estimate £380,000-420,000
