Good afternoon, just a quick update email for you.
Today, despite this horrendous downfall of rain we are ploughing ahead
and the marquee is being erected in preparation for our three-day sale
next week: 28 May–30 May. We have a new venue for this sale: Allington, one mile north west of Chippenham, all the usual facilities will be available.
• Wednesday 27 May: viewing 3pm–6pm
• Thursday 28 May: Vintage and classic spares – up to 800 lots
• Friday 29 May: Automobilia and petroliana.
•
Saturday 30 May: Motorcycles and motor cars including a 1934 Lagonda
M35R, a 1970 police Morris Minor 1000 and a 1936 Talbot 75 Tourer.
This
is a bumper sale with some terrific vehicles and a fascinating range of
automobilia. Aside from the big draws, we’ve also got a three-wheel
Morgan that’s been stored locally for many years and a police Velocette
moped of the type seen in ITV’s Heartbeat series.
We’re
also very much looking forward to using the Allington site. Many of our
regular buyers will have driven past it on the way to Castle Combe race
track, where we’ve held our auctions previously.
Allington
is 3.5 miles from Castle Combe. The site is next to Allington Farm Shop
on the A420, Access to the site is from the Bumpers Farm roundabout
near Chippenham. You’ll also spot a large sign on the field marked ‘SAY
NO TO THE RANGE’, this is the field that we are in!
Part
of the catalogue is online now but we will be adding to it right up
until the sale with the majority being on there by the end of play
tomorrow.
We do hope you can join us.
From all the team,
