Going under the hammer
1989 Ferrari Testarossa
This left-hand drive Ferrari Testarossa was delivered new to
Switzerland and has spent much of its life being cosseted in a private
collection. It was collected by its first owner in the picturesque
Alpine town of Lugano, Switzerland on 19th May 1989. By 1993 the car had
covered 3,290 kilometres, by 2004 just 4,832 kilometres and today only
10,254 kilometres. In recent years the car has resided in a private
collection in Portugal and used only in fine weather.
Finished in the ultimate colour combination of Rosso Corsa with
Crema interior, this Testarossa is one of the finest examples we have
seen.
Estimate (£) – 120,000 - 140,000

2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3
Having run in the European GT Open Championship with great success,
including six wins and eight pole positions, this stunning Vanatage GT3
is eligible to run in this year’s Le Mans Aston Martin Festival race,
and is a likely contender for the outright winner. What’s more, the
bodywork remains in unpainted carbon and is in fantastic condition;
commensurate with its little use of just 11 sprint races.
These bespoke Prodrive built Vantage GT3s are limited in numbers
and at today’s guide, represent a colossal saving for a low mileage
example.
Estimate (£) – 180,000 - 200,000

1969 Jaguar E-Type series II 4.2 Roadster
Finished in British Racing Green with Cinnamon leather upholstery
and originally dispatched to Jaguar Cars New York, this Jaguar E-Type
Series II Roadster returned to UK shores in 2012 with all American
documentation. The current Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms it
retains the original engine, gearbox and body number so is offered as a
matching numbers concours example.
This classic presents a fantastic investment opportunity, with all the right credentials, to drive and enjoy this summer.
Estimate (£) – 75,000 - 90,000

1979 Ferrari 308 GTS
One of just 184 ever produced, this original UK right hand drive
Ferrari 308 GTS must be one of the finest 308s on the market today and
is extremely collectible.
With a warranted mileage of just 40,121 miles from new, the classic
is finished in Rosso Corsa with Nero hide interior and boasts a
complete service history from new. Most recently the car has benefitted
from significant investment and restoration, all carried out under the
stewardship of Ferrari specialist Tim Walker of Walkersport.
Estimate (£) – 70,000 - 80,000

1980 Ford Escort 1.6 Ghia 4door Mk II
With only one owner from new, this time warp Ford Escort Ghia must
be the lowest mileage example left in existence, having travelled a
total of just 3,243 miles in 35 years.
Finished in Diamond White with chocolate velour, the interior is in
as new condition and has been protected from the elements over the
years, stored in a heated garage all of its life. We cannot emphasise
enough how incredibly original this car is, presented in as new
condition exactly how it left the factory 35 years ago. This is a true
one off, special Mk2 Escort that will be a fantastic addition to any
low-mileage collection.
Estimate (£) – No Reserve

1957 Jaguar XK140 SE Fixedhead Coupe
The condition of this Jaguar XK140 SE Fixedhead Coupe can be best
described as close to concours. Following a recent restoration, the
paintwork has been finished to a very high standard and the shut lines
are an absolute joy to behold.
This stunning XK140 offers an exciting turn-key opportunity for its
next owner and would require only very minor fettling to bring up to
concours condition. It is with confidence that we state Silverstone
Auctions have not seen a better one through our auctions and it even
comes with extremely rare fitted Jaguar luggage, ideal for continental
touring.
Estimate (£) – 60,000 – 70,000

twin variable geometry water cooled turbo chargers to produce a serious
620bhp and 516 lbs foot torque which lead to a terminal speed in excess
of 205mph and a 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds!
