Following the unprecedented success of last year’s sale, we are pleased to announce we are once again hosting an auction at the Practical Classics Restoration Show, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham on Saturday 28th March. As always, we’ll be offering a wealth of stunning roadworthy classic cars, and, reflecting the theme of the event, we’re also affording visitors the opportunity to acquire a range of special restoration projects and captivating barn finds. Final call to enter your car into the sale
More than 85% of the cars offered in last year’s sale were sold, and with the show attracting thousands of classic car enthusiasts, what better place to sell your car? We’re now inviting quality entries into the sale so if you would like to benefit from the Silverstone Auctions expert service, do not hesitate to get in touch with the team. Potential vendors are advised to submit entries quickly, as the catalogue closes on March 11th. 2001 BMW Z8
The model famous for appearing in the 1999 Bond film, The World Is Not Enough, this modern classic is presented in superb condition throughout. With the odometer currently reading a genuine 39,753 miles, this BMW Z8 represents retro styling with the performance and refinement of a modern supercar. Included in the sale is a genuine Z8 spare wheel, full toolkit, a half tonneau, roll bar hoop covers and a wind deflector - all original BMW items that have been sourced and purchased by the current owner. 1980 Aston Martin V8
This sophisticated British classic is supplied with a fully documented history file and UK V5c as well as an MoT until 15th April 2015; and at a fraction of the cost of its predecessors, the DB4, 5 and 6, this V8 is certainly worthy of the attention of any serious car collector today. After having undergone several mechanical restorations over the 90s and 00s yet still sitting on its original GKN alloys, this car is ready to begin the next chapter of its life, with nothing left to do other than turn the key and fire the V8 into action. 1936 Jaguar SS DHC Restoration Project
Distinctive and among some of the best of British classics, this Jaguar SS DHC is supplied with an excellent history file. Currently, the car runs and drives and the original, but refurbished, seats are mounted. The body appears to be completed but may need some finishing work, including painting. 1998 Ferrari F355 Spider
Delivered new to its first owner, a Mr J. Michael, this Spider is finished in Rosso Corsa Red and is upholstered with a Nero Black leather interior. Options on this car include electronic suspension, air conditioning, 18" alloy wheels and a stereo system with a CD player. Having recently gone through the workshop of an Official Ferrari Dealer, this car has been given a clean bill of health and checked throughout. The original toolkit, service book and manuals are in situ within the leather bookpack. With the odometer now reading a mere 26,285 miles, this car is offered with a fresh MoT and UK V5c and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner this Spring. 1961 Jaguar Mk II 3.8 Litre Saloon
This 3.8 Litre Mk II Jaguar was purchased by the previous registered keeper in 1974 and has not been used since a tree fell on his garage, damaging that building and denting the car's roof, buyers should note that a second-hand roof is offered with this vehicle. The current owner acquired this example in 2011 and has simply stored the car with a reputable firm ever since. An automatic transmission model, '5686 TR' has had only seven owners from new and has been preserved in highly original condition. The car is complete and thus an excellent candidate for restoration.
