Over £400,000 of classics sold at our launch sale
CCA kicked off in style this week, with classic car fans flocking to the famous Silverstone circuit to bid at the sale and attend Quentin Willson’s exciting talk on the classic car market.
65 per cent of the cars offered were sold for total sales of more than £400,000. With the cars beautifully displayed in the iconic F1 pit garages at Silverstone, bidders surveyed the lots with great interest and excitement, and admired the value classics on offer.

As well as providing advice to collectors, Quentin hammered away the first lot; a 1951 Land Rover Series 1. The indisputably British classic fetched a sizeable sum of £5,035. Our special charity lot, a 1988 Reliant Rialto Van ‘Dodgy Charger’, also sold for a generous £636, with all proceeds kindly donated to the Mercia MS Trust in Coventry.

Pre-sale estimate (£) - 24,000 – 26,000 – SOLD £30,740
One of only three Riviera Blue 996 Turbos ever sold in the UK, this Porsche, a stylish and modern classic was supplied with many extra factory options. The highest selling lot of the auction, bidders battled hard to purchase this sought after model.
Pre-sale estimate (£): 25,000 – 28,000 – SOLD £27,030
Highly rare and sought after, this Morgan Aero 8 had a low mileage and was presented in good condition. A modern classic, it fetched for more than £2,000 over its lower estimate.
Pre-sale estimate (£) - 14,500 – 16,500 – SOLD £16,854
This is the last Rover Mini ever sold in Scotland. A special model only having covered 182 miles from new, it was presented in ‘as new’ condition, with a faultless interior and exterior. A piece of Rover history, it is no surprise this legendary classic exceeded its higher estimate.
