BARONS’ CRACKING CHRISTMAS SALE SELECTION
With over 90 entries spanning 10 decades and representing 29 different marques from Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin and Austin to Vauxhall and Volkswagen, Barons’ Christmas Classic Sale at Sandown Park on December 11 may not be quite an A-Z of classic motoring but it is definitely a gift for classic car lovers.
The ‘star’ on the top of the Christmas entry list is the magnificent 1921 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost with an astonishing 25,700 miles on the clock, but there really is something for everyone and all budgets, from starter classics and family saloons to stylish 1920s and 30s machines and head-turning sports cars. Those looking for a top-condition classic have plenty to choose from, as do those with a yearning for a restoration project.
Rarities include the 1965 Reliant Scimitar SE4 GT Coupe 2.6 Ford Straight Six GT - one of less than 300 built - a 1968 Triumph TR250 in TR5 PI spec and a 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL600 V12, one of just 50 supplied in the UK.
The sale also includes a number of cherished registrations, for those who want to give a Christmas gift to their own car!
Viewing is from 3pm-7pm on Monday, December 10, and from 9am-1pm on Tuesday, December 11, with the sale starting at 1pm.
