Silverstone Auctions will hold its exclusive annual Porsche Sale in association with Porsche Club GB, at a brand new venue, the prestigious Dallas Burston Polo Club on 28thSeptember.
The award-winning venue boasts a stunning 600-acre estate in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. With four venues on site, including the multi-award, winning IXL Events Centre, DBPC provides increased accessibility for the Sale and is the ideal location for both the Porsche and September Sales. The Porsche Sale will be Silverstone Auctions debut sale at the club on 28th September, with their full September Sale to be held the following day.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to hold the Porsche Sale 2018 at such an amazing facility as Dallas Burston Polo Club,” says Joe Watts, Classic Car Specialist at Silverstone Auctions. “Now in its fourth year, the Porsche Sale has grown from strength to strength and we are excited to once again work with Porsche Club GB. With limited spaces available in the sale it is important for Porsche owners to get in touch now as we will only be able to accommodate the best examples into our highly exclusive sale.”
Porsche Club GB, the only UK club approved by Porsche themselves, first collaborated with Silverstone Auctions back in 2015. The club is known for providing a strong presence at the auctions both as bidders and sellers.
“The Porsche Sale is always one of the highlights of our year,” says Chris Seaward, general manager, Porsche Club GB. “We are delighted to be working with the Silverstone team once again. The quality of Porsches at their sales is always second to none and our members are very excited to see what the Silverstone Auctions team will bring to the sale this year.”
Last year’s event saw some incredible results bringing in a total £2.5million. Highlights included a 1998 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo S selling for £253,125, a very rare 1992 Porsche 911 (964) RS Touring selling for £219,375 and a 1955 Porsche Chamonix 500 Spyder recreation selling for £43,875.
“We pride ourselves in our knowledge of Porsches and they have come to be one of our specialities over the years. The brand is one of the few high profile marques to be significantly successful both on the track and the road. We hope with our 2018 sale to once again show the quality and popularity of this fantastic brand,” Joe concludes.
