H&H AUCTIONS - Still Interested? Make An Offer - Woodcote Park Auction

AUCTION REVIEW

Our first auction at the RAC’s magnificent Woodcote Park Estate saw us establish another in a long line of world record prices; namely the £230,625 achieved for the ex-Colin McRae 1996 Subaru Impreza WRC97 (Chassis 001).

Held in association with Motor Sport magazine’s ‘Hall of Fame’ event, the sale was conducted in a beautifully appointed marquee (complete with chandeliers) adjoining the Clubhouse.

Other estimate smashing performers included the ‘barn stored’ 1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage (£247,500) and nicely restored 1956 AC Aceca-Bristol (£135,000), while the 1953 Lancia Aurelia B20GT Series III and 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale both fetched £102,375. Five of the six Jaguar E-Types on offer found new homes and the automobilia section was a near sell out too. Heartwarming story of the sale went to the buyer of the 1961 Jaguar MKII 3.4 Litre who was over the moon to reacquire the very same car that his father had sold some forty-six years ago! There are a number of provisional sales still in the offing but the current sale gross stands at £1.75 million.

Despite the combined efforts of the 400 registered bidders on the day not all the cars found new homes. Those listed below are still open to offers within a sensible range of their pre-auction estimates.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like further information on any of the unsold lots.
