H&H AUCTIONS _ Still Interested? Make An Offer - Donington Park

AUCTION REVIEW

We would like to thank those of you who braved the recent storms to attend our first two-day auction of 2017 which saw over 73% (and climbing) of the 201 motorcars and motorcycles on offer find new owners. Two-wheeled highlights included the unrestored 1968 Velocette Thruxton that made £24,295 (a new world record eclipsing the one we already held for the model) and the smartly restored but non-matching numbers 1952 Vincent Comet Series C which commanded £22,400.

Best price among the motorcars was the ‘garage find’ 1963 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster that is thought to have been converted from left- to right-hand drive during the 1970s. Seemingly original in other respects, it shot past its £50,000 - £60,000 estimate to sell for £75,040. More affordable but no less eagerly contested was a notably low mileage 1974 Vanden Plas Princess 1300 that had been in single ownership its entire life. Recently recommissioned following twenty-five years’ dry storage, it more than tripled its low estimate of £3,000 to sell for £10,080. Interestingly, the gentleman who bought it also has a delivery mileage example!

With a collective 400+ bidders in attendance and 600+ bidders registering online, H&H also saw Livestream watchers reaching into the thousands via their YouTube Channel and over 20,000 eCatalogue downloads prior to the auction.

Unfortunately not all of the vehicles found new owners under the hammer. As such we would like to invite you to make offers in the vicinity of their saleroom estimates on any of the motorcars or motorcycles listed below which you find of interest. We will refer the best offer in each case to the relevant vendor for his / her consideration.

We look forward to seeing you next time out, at The Imperial War Museum Duxford on Wednesday 29th March.

FURTHER ENTRIES INVITED
H&H Classics' next auction at The Imperial War Museum Duxford has already attracted some breathtaking early entries, including four more Ferraris (250GT, 330GT, 512 Testarossa and 360 Spider F1) to sit alongside the much talked-about Nembo Spider which is being sold to benefit the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity.

Between them the 5 Ferraris currently consigned have a combined low estimate value of over £1,500,000 - and we encourage all patrons of the H&H Classics mailing list to consider entering their motorcar for what already promises to be a highly memorable auction.
