MIDDLE EAST SHEIK’S CAR COLLECTION BOOSTS H&H CLASSICS LAST SALE OF 2016 TO £2M

MIDDLE EAST SHEIK’S CAR COLLECTION BOOSTS H&H CLASSICS LAST SALE OF 2016 TO £2M

The end of year sale by H&H Classics at Chateau Impney in the Midlands today (Dec 7th) was nothing short of pre-Christmas garage sale with a fabulous collection of luxury cars on offer seized from a Middle Eastern sheikh following a financial dispute.
The collection of exceptionally low mileage Ferrari, Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars came to auction with H&H following a High Court ruling against the unnamed former owner. Estimates on the cars were attractive and as a result there was huge interest. The hammer price total (without buyers premium) for the sheik’s cars was £782,000. The 90 strong car sale made a total of £2m.
Damian Jones, Head of Sales at H&H Classics said: “The sale today provided a chance to acquire some stunning cars with incredibly low odometer readings which have been kept garaged in some of London’s best postcodes. The Porsche Cayenne S comes with a handwritten log detailing its valeting schedule, while the Mercedes-Benz Viano is unusually well specified for a people carrier”.
The sale was something of a Christmas treat with a great selection of cars, any of which would make one’s day if it came gift-wrapped.
The sale included an intriguing 1952 Bentley R-Type Straight 8 Special, the same model as one loaned to Prince Phillip, some decades ago, which he did not want to give back. It sold for £64,410.

But it was the opportunity to acquire one or more of the personal private collection of the Middle Eastern sheik’s classic modern classic car collection, stunning high-end examples of  marque leaders in eye-catching livery, that really set the room alight.

A 2012 Bentley Continental GTC with just 500 recorded miles sold for £95,760.
A 2006 Bentley Arnage RL with 4,900 recorded miles sold for £52,192.
A 2012 Bentley Mulsanne with 2,300 recorded miles sold for £95,760.
A 2011 Bentley Contintental Flying Spur with 11,000 recorded miles sold for £52,827.
2012 Ferrari California – 500 recorded miles, sold for £126,560.
2012 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider – 400 recorded miles, sold for £142,800.
2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom – 5,100 recorded miles, sold for £99,680.
