Record breaking weekend for Silverstone Auctions

Last weekend we returned to The Classic Motor Show for the fifth year running, and we are delighted to announce several new records were achieved as well as our best ever result at the show, with a sales rate of 80% and total sales of £5.8million.

In front of a crowd of hundreds of classic car fans, international bidders, online and on the phones, we were also joined by Channel 4, Ant Anstead, Phil Glenister and the team from ‘For the Love of Cars’ to see the very special 1958 ex-Chris Barber Lotus Elite Series I, which sold for a new record auction price of £121,500.

We are enormously proud of our team for achieving such an outstanding result, and we'd like to thank all our bidders, buyers and vendors for being a part of this landmark sale.

Read on for more sale highlights or view all the results on our website.
