H&H AUCTIONS _ Auction Review - Donington Park - Nov, 2016

AUCTION REVIEW
Dear Friend of H&H,
It was a case of laptops and tablets at the ready today at Donington Park, as H&H held its second E-Catalogue Only sale in front of a packed saleroom.
Taking pride of place in front of the rostrum, a 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi which had been uprated with later M5 (E34-series) running gear stormed past its £28,000 - £32,000 estimate to sell for £51,480. While a second 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi that was to standard specification but in need of extensive restoration made £23,600.
Following the successful despatch of all 11 E-Types at H&H's IWM Duxford auction last month interest in Jaguar's iconic sportscar remained strong at Donington Park. The 1971 Series III V12 Fixed Head Coupe on offer had only recently been disinterred from several years' slumber in a garage. Boasting the preferred manual transmission but in need of refurbishment, the Jaguar defied its £16,000 - £20,000 estimate by fetching an applause generating £33,040.
Yesterday’s motorcycle auction saw some strong results as well with an amazingly rare and original HRD Vincent which had been carefully stored in recent years leading the sale at a close to world record price of £267,696. Second best seller was a 1934 Brough Superior Alpine that made £131,560. The motorcycles contributed £660,000 to a total sale gross that exceeded £1.3 million.

Please find below our Auction Review video, in which H&H Classics' Chairman Simon Hope gives his thoughts on the state of play after H&H Classics' third Donington Park auction.
In 2017, Donington Park will be the exclusive home of all H&H Classics' motorcycle sales and will also remain the base for our Popular Classics motorcar auctions. Our first Donington Park auction of 2017 will be held in February.
H&H's last auction of Selected Classic & Collector Cars this year will be held at Chateau Impney, Droitwich Spa on December 7th with the H&H Christmas Gala dinner taking place the night before. The guest speaker for 2016 is the renowned actor and classic car enthusiast Chris Barrie. A few dinner tickets are still available, please visit our website or contact us on 01925 210035 if you would like to book some.

See you at Chateau Impney!
