BONHAMS BECOMES THE OFFICIAL AUCTION PARTNER
OF THE FERRARI OWNERS' CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN
Bonhams International auctioneers are delighted to announce their appointment as the official auction partner for the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain in a new three year agreement.
“This is tremendous news for Bonhams and follows on from our strategic partnership with other Clubs. We look forward to working with the FOC on a number of initiatives and of course offering support to Club members,” said James Knight, Bonhams Group Director of Motoring.
Bonhams record-breaking motoring department consistently achieve excellent prices for Ferrari models. This includes the world record for the most valuable car in history to be sold at auction – the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta, sold for $38,115,000 (£22,843,633).
The GTO is one in a long line of models from the ‘prancing horse’ that Bonhams have sold at auction, including the remainder of the Maranello Rosso Collection of ten important Ferraris, sold for a combined total $65,945,000 (£39,522,440).
Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain Chairman, Nigel Chiltern-Hunt commented: “We are delighted to welcome Bonhams as our Official Auction Partner and look forward to working with them over the next three years, particularly in developing our new Bonhams Parc Ferme Ferrari racing car feature at our 2016 National Event and EFG Concours.”
The Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain has 3,000 members representing 65% of Ferrari ownership in the UK
