1954 Morgan Plus 4 - estimate: £70,000 - £90,000

Reintroduced after World War II, the 4/4 and subsequent Plus 4 models have been icons ever since.

This particular car was built as a road-going Plus 4 in the Morgan factory in 1954 and raced in competition in period. Returning again to the factory, this racer was fitted with a lighter aluminium body and rebuilt to 1959 ‘supersports’ specification, including an all steel race engine, twin 45 Webers, close-ratio gearbox, aluminium race fuel tank, floors, sump and rocker covers.

Raced competitively in this specification, it successfully won against a field of single seaters and even a lightweight Jaguar E-Type. This handsome ‘Connaught Green’ example sports a recently rebuilt engine and new wheels, clutch and hardtop. It also has the all-important HTP FIA papers, a comprehensive history file and is ready to race in its current condition.

1975 Osella PA3 BMW M12 - estimate: £130,000 - £160,000

Initially raced as a hill climb hero and later competed in the 1976 Monza 4-hour race, this Osella PA3 BMW M12 is a well-maintained racer with past, future and present racing credentials.

The car, which now sports a revised tub and new engine, has been maintained to an extremely high standard, regardless of cost. It has successfully competed in modern and period races and comes with two sets of wheels and all-important newly registered HTP papers.

1965 Morris Mini Cooper S - estimate: £42,000 - £48,000

The words ‘Mini’ and ‘motorsport’ go hand-in-hand; the compact car has been in the racing scene in various guises for over 50 years.

Offered in our dedicated Competition Car Sale, this FIA appendix K Morris Mini Cooper S has been built, maintained and run competitively on track by Dale Racing.

Complete with a new floor, inner and outer wings and scuttles, the shell is also complete with a welded in T45 Custom Cages roll cage as well as strengthened subframes. Inside the car, a new Corbeau bucket seat, Willans harnesses and Stack display are also included.

To build a car like this from scratch is believed to cost a lot more than its estimate, this proven racer is sold in a ready-to-race condition.

Included in the sale are; homologation papers, regulation papers from the 1979/80 RAC British Saloon Car Championship as well as a selection of Gordon Spice’s trophies from the car’s winning years. The car also comes with professional set-up sheets and data from the period as well as photographs and even a spare engine.
