HISTORICS @BROOKLANDS NEWS

As 2014 draws inexorably to a slightly soggy close, there are still some highlights to enjoy. Most notably, from our point of view, is our grand winter sale at Mercedes-Benz World.

Definitely at the fun end of the Christmas shopping spectrum, the auction is packed full of goodies from pre-war Alfa's to Mini's and from a lovely Rolls-Royce Corniche (offered at no reserve) to some stunning early Porsche 356 convertibles.

The catalogue is now closed and on the presses, due out at the end of next week so let us know if you would like one. Failing that, click through to our website and see the 110 classics on offer immediately.

So if your neighbours have all chipped in to buy you a car cover for your 'restoration project' and you are beginning to spend more on oil than on petrol, come and share a mince pie with us and enjoy some family time picking out that classic you always promised yourself.

And finally...as you can see from the picture to the left, Stuart and I are both doing our part for Movember. This challenges men to grow moustaches to spark conversation and to draw attention to the scourge of prostate cancer. Whilst my dashing cavalry officer look is rather feeble, Stuart (or Ned Flanders as we now call him) has done us proud. Please, if you can, make a donation at
