Ferraris race ahead at Silverstone sale
A collection of stunning Ferraris helped us achieve a 63%
sales rate and a total sales value of over £1million in our Autumn Sale
at The Wing last Saturday.
No less than six of Maranello's finest were on offer at Silverstone
Circuit where buyers from all over the world fought hard to secure some
wonderful examples of marque.
But it wasn’t just Ferraris that proved in demand at the sale. You can view the full results here.
Read on to see some of the strong prices that were achieved in the weekend’s sale.

1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalve- Pre-sale estimate £80,000-£90,000: SOLD £88,550
We’ve seen some amazing prices paid for 308s this year including some world records achieved at the Silverstone Classic in July.
Appreciation and demand for these cars continues and this beautiful
and low mileage 308 GTS Quattrovalve topped the bill at the sale
selling for more than £8,000 over its lower estimate.
|
1979 Ferrari 308 GTS- Pre-sale estimate £40,000-£50,000: SOLD £52,900
Not to be outdone, this 1979 308 GTS was the subject of a hard
fought bidding war between international bidders. A highly original
example in fantastic condition, it eventually sold to a buyer in the
room for more than £12,000 over its lower estimate.
|
1991 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Automatic - Pre-sale estimate £17,000-£22,000: SOLD £32,200
Now regarded as the pinnacle of Mercedes build quality, these 'S'
Class models are beginning to be truly appreciated by collectors. And
this example proved no exception selling for nearly double its lower
estimate.
|
1989 BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto - Pre-sale estimate £35,000-£40,000: SOLD £40,250
A rare and highly sought after Johnny Cecotto edition of the M3,
this example looked simply stunning on display at Silverstone. One of
the stars of the catalogue it certainly didn’t disappoint selling at its
top estimate.
