Less than one week until our Race Retro auctions begin

 

There’s now less than one week to go until we return to Race Retro with 117 very special cars to be auctioned over three days at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

32 impressive competition cars will go under the hammer on Friday 26th February, followed by an incredible selection of 85 classic, modern sportscars and supercars over two days on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February.

You can now register to bid at the sale by filling in our online form.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can leave a commission bid prior to the sale, place bids over the phone, or bid online directly through our website, powered by Proxibid.

Viewing of all the lots on offer is available all day on Friday with the Competition Car Sale beginning at 3pm. On Saturday and Sunday, viewing is available from 9.30am, with automobilia and lifestyle items auctioned at 10.30am, followed by motorcars and motorcycles at 1.30pm.

1993 Porsche RUF (964) RCT




This very special Porsche belonged to none other than Alois Ruf Jr, the boss of RUF Automobile GmbH, and became his personal car in 1997. It was used as the basis for a revolutionary conversion he had developed that would combine a Turbocharged 964 3.6 engine with four-wheel drive. The car remained in Alois Ruf's collection until 2007, when it was sold to a UK collector and enthusiast. Finished in Schwartz Metallic, the paintwork today looks stunning and the grey full leather interior is presented in superb condition.

2008 McLaren Mercedes SLR Roadster



This left-hand drive, one owner from new SLR roadster was purchased in 2008 and has since covered a mere 20,000 km. The vendor has meticulously looked after it recently investing in a full £6,000 service at the SLR centre at Mercedes-Benz Brooklands. Given the significance of this venture and the skyrocketing appeal of the SLR's direct competitors, this special car delivers in terms of value and collectability.

1989 BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto



This 'Johnny Cecotto' E30 M3 is number 276 of 480 cars and is finished in Misano Red featuring an Anthracite M-Technic cloth interior with contrasting Bison Black leather. Carefully maintained by marque specialists Moseley Motor Spares, this 'sunroof delete' ordered model is in fantastic condition.

1995 Ford Escort RS Cosworth LUX



This outstanding Ford Escort RS Cosworth Lux is in excellent condition having covered a mere 5,300 miles. It has clearly lived a very cossetted life and is finished in Imperial Blue with contrasting Raven Black Recaro Leather Interior with the Lux specification. With Fast Ford prices rising this example is the perfect addition to any collection.

1986 Ferrari 328 GTB




This particular 328GTB, affectionately known as "Rosie", is very well-known in Ferrari racing circles in the UK, having entered 70 races in the Maranello Ferrari Challenge. Clocking up 28 fastest laps, Championship Class winner 3 times and runner-up 3 times, the car also scored many fastest laps and outright wins in the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic.

"Rosie" was subject to a full ground-up rebuild in 2016 and has remained unused for several years, now described as in very good condition.

1963 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe Race Car



This fabulous full-race 1963 E-Type Fixed Head Coupé has only just come to market. Only very recently completed, it has been built by Wren Classics to be eligible for the 2016, Carol Spagg 'Pre-'63 GT' series. All the safety equipment is brand new and complies with FIA Safety Regs.

This immaculate E-Type is offered today at a fraction of its build cost and is potentially a front-running car in the right hands.
