ARLINGTON, TEXAS– August 1, 2016 – Worldwide Auctioneers is pleased to announce the relocation of their storied Houston, Texas auction to the Arlington Convention Center. The auction, to be re-named “The Texas Auction” will be held Saturday April 22, 2017. 

“Our company continues to expand and we simply had outgrown the location we have had for the past five years,” commented Rod Egan, principal with Worldwide Auctioneers. “We had been searching for a location that would allow for all vehicles to be showcased indoors in a highly prominent, easy location for our customers to find and access. I’m excited that we have achieved that and I know our customers will be too.” 

The new location provides over 48,600 square-foot of column-free exhibit area with a 30,000 square-foot Grand Hall where the auction sale will be conducted. “Having an auction centrally-located in the United States, just 10 miles from major airports and nestled between the Dallas Metroplex and Fort Worth, as well as a hotel just steps from the Convention Center, provides easier access to and from the event,” noted John Kruse, principal with Worldwide. “And to make this event even more fun, is that it all takes place in the ever-growing Arlington Entertainment District which includes Six Flags over Texas, Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers, and is within walking Distance to the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. The area is known to be a great destination for enthusiasts of all kinds.” 

The Concours d’Elegance of Texas, of which Worldwide has been a founding-sponsor since its inception in 2012, has also committed to move its events to Arlington. Many of the Concours events will be next door to Convention Center April 21, 22 & 23, 2017. Early consignments are being accepted.
